Julia H. Adams

QUINCY, Pa. - A memorial service for Julia H. Harnish Adams, 102, of Quincy United Methodist Home, and formerly of Lafayette Hill, Pa., and Quincy Village, who died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church in Waynesboro, Pa. The Rev. Jay E. Zimmerman will officiate.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Green Hill Cemetery.

The family requests the omission of flowers.

Memorial donations may be made to Benevolent Care Fund, Quincy United Methodist Home, P.O. Box 128, Quincy, PA 17247.

Arrangements are by Cumberland Valley Crematorium, Waynesboro.




Julia Bonebrake

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Julia Bonebrake, 88, of 10334 Amsterdam Road, and formerly of Williamsport, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at Quincy (Pa.) United Methodist Home.

Born May 22, 1914, in Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Antonina Goryszewski Jasinski.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Kotkoski, in 1974.

She was employed by banks in Detroit.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hagers-town.

She is survived by her husband, Harper J. Bonebrake; one sister, Mary F. Groat of Lincoln Park, Mich.; and nieces and nephews.

There will be no service or viewing.

Private burial will be in Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery, Flat Rock, Mich.

Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown.




George Douglas Carr

GAITHERSBURG, Md. - George Douglas Carr, of Gaithersburg, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002.

He is survived by his wife, Cristine M. Carr; four sons, Brian D. Carr, Kevin D. Carr, Cristopher R. Carr and Jonathan E. Carr; one sister, Nancy Freese; and two brothers, Donald Carr and Robert Carr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Visitation Parish, Darnestown, Md. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at DeVol Funeral Home, Gaithersburg.

Martha M. Rosenberry

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Martha M. Rosenberry, 91, of 6539 Guitner Road and formerly of Angle Road, Chambersburg, Pa., died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, at the home of her son.

Born Aug. 7, 1911, in Franklin County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Fannie Martin Bricker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer W. Rosenberry, in 1980. They were married May 14, 1938.

She was a homemaker. She had worked at Stanley Co. in Chambersburg.

She was a member of Antrim Mennonite Church near Greencastle.

She is survived by two daughters, Miriam R. Hull and Mary Jane Poe, both of Chambersburg; five sons, Maynard E. Rosenberry of Elizabethtown, Pa., Martin L. Rosenberry of Fayetteville, Pa., Marvin R. Rosenberry of St. Thomas, Pa., Marlin D. Rosenberry of Chambersburg, and Mark E. Rosenberry of Greencastle; one sister, Anna B. Shank of Menno Village, Chambersburg; 24 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Fleagle; and by her stepmother, Anna Bricker.

Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Antrim Mennonite Church, Greencastle. The Antrim Mennonite Church Ministry will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the church.

The family requests the omission of flowers.

Charles L. Young Jr.

FREDERICK, Md. - Charles Leon "Spark" Young Jr., 57, of Frederick, and formerly of South Potomac Street, Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Born Nov. 5, 1944, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Jane A. Drenner Young of Smithsburg and the late Charles Leon Young Sr.

He was a 1962 graduate of Williamsport High School.

He retired from Rest Haven Funeral Home, Hagerstown.

He attended Harvest Baptist Church in Hagerstown and Gateway Ministries in Williamsport.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mary Paulette Haines Young, whom he married Aug. 20, 1995; one daughter, Joanna L. Bailey of Hagers-town; two stepdaughters, Christie L. Moreland and Pamela S. Jenkins, both of Greencastle, Pa.; one stepson, William C. Moreland of Funkstown; one granddaughter; and stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport The Revs. James Moore and Don Conley will officiate.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport, which will open at 9 a.m.

Helen Brock

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Helen Brock, 89, of Rochester, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2002, at Kirkhaven Nursing Home, Rochester.

Born Sept. 26, 1912, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Rodger and Lulabelle Winters Harp.
