Ronald R. Burkholder

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Ronald R. Burkholder, 58, of 10070 Antrim Church Road, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, at Waynesboro (Pa.) Hospital.

Born Aug. 8, 1944, in Chambersburg, Pa., he was the son of Catherine A. Snider Burkholder and the late Glenn K. Burkholder.

He was a 1962 graduate of Greencastle High School.

He had done landscaping work; was a security guard for Sonny Ganoe; and worked as a mechanic at Grove Worldwide in Shady Grove, Pa., for 12 years.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his companion, Elizabeth May "Liz" Wallech; one daughter, Sheryl L. Breneman of Greencastle; one sister, M. Judy Shelly of Greencastle; one brother, Terry D. Burkholder of Waynesboro; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home in Greencastle. Burial will be in Brown's Mill Cemetery at Kauffman Station near Greencastle.

The family will receive friends Monday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Betty J. Daniels

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Betty Jo Daniels, 59, of 153 E. Catherine St., died Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, at Heart of Florida Medical Center in Davenport, Fla.

Born Nov. 30, 1942, in Dundee, Fla., she was the daughter of Johnnie Mae Jacobs of Dundee and the late Henry D. Daniels.

She was employed by Harness Industrial Inc. as a harness technician.

She was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Chambersburg, a Mother of the Church, a member of Ladies Auxiliary, Pastor's Aide Committee and was an usher.

She was a member of Lebanon Cemetery Club.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Cathy Daniels of Chester, Pa.; one son, Timothy Daniels of Sterling, Va.; four grandchildren; one aunt; one uncle; nieces; nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by one son, Gerald Daniels; and one daughter, Karen Daniels.

Services will be Monday at noon at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Rev. G. Nathan Bell will officiate. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery, Chambersburg.

Visitation will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.




William R. Vaughn Sr.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - William R. Vaughn Sr., 68, of 116 James Lee Drive, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, at Waynesboro (Pa). Hospital.

Born May 18, 1934, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Everett and Margaret Argenbright Vaughn.

He retired in 1996 from TB Woods. He had been the produce manager at Acme Grocery Store in Chambersburg for 18 years.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Chambersburg Baptist Church, where he was a deacon.

He was a member of General James Chambers Lodge 801 and Harrisburg Consistory 32nd Degree Mason.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Susie Guyer Vaughn; one son, William R. Vaughn Jr. of Chambersburg; three brothers, Charles Vaughn, Richard Vaughn and Terry Vaughn, all of Chambersburg; and one granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dolly Vaughn and Evelyn Thayer.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Rev. Jimmie E. Knox will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Saturday at noon at the funeral home.

Larry E. Hansrote

FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Larry E. Hansrote, 50, of Falling Waters, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, at his home.

Born Nov. 14, 1951, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Albert and Pearl Gantt Hansrote.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by two sisters, Ruth Fraley of Falling Waters and Nancy Gladden of Martinsburg; and two brothers, Rodney Hansrote of Martinsburg and Albert Hansrote of Falling Waters.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Roy L. Hansrote.

A memorial service will be today at 7:30 p.m. at South Berkeley Chapel Funeral Home, Inwood, W.Va. Pastor Ken Alder will officiate.

Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends today at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.




Alma G. Honaker

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Alma G. Honaker, 88, of Hedgesville, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, at City Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born Oct. 14, 1913, in Greenville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late George Gibson and Daisy Pearl Weikle Sibold.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Wayland C. Honaker.

She was a member of Tomahawk Christian Church.

She was a member of Berkeley County Homemakers Extension Rebekah Lodge 65 and Back Creek Valley Satellite Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Wilma J. Yost of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and Pamela D. Stickel of Martinsburg; one son, Jerry W. Honaker of Hedgesville; one sister, Hallie Pomphrey of Sinks Grove, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one nephew and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a son, James W. Honaker; and a brother, Vernon Sibold.
