Where you can get a survey

Washington County Disability Advisory Committee Chairwoman Peggy Martin said the committee's survey on disability needs is available through the following organizations:

  • Anita Lynne Home.

  • Deafnet.

  • Disabled American Veterans.

  • The Maryland State Department of Education's Division of Rehabilitation Services.

  • Horizon Goodwill Industries.

  • Public libraries.

  • Office of Consumer Advocates.

  • Resource Development, Martin's consulting business.

  • Resources for Independence.

  • Washington County Department of Social Services.

  • Western Maryland Hospital Center.

  • National Multiple Sclerosis Society's Maryland Chapter.

  • Turning Point of Washington County.

The Washington County Board of Education also is distributing copies.

In addition, the survey is available from the Washington County Office on Disability Issues, which can be reached at 240-313-2130.

Completed surveys can be mailed to: Washington County Disability Advisory Committee, 15032 Randall Lane, Williamsport, MD 21795. Martin said the pre-addressed printed surveys can be folded in half, taped shut and mailed for the cost of one 37-cent first-class stamp.

If anything else is attached, the postage may cost more. Extra postage may be needed to print a copy of the survey at the Herald-Mail Web site ( and mail it, Martin said.


Completed surveys may be returned in person to the first-floor mailroom of the county administration building at 100 W. Washington St. in Hagerstown.
