CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Chambersburg man accused of sexually assaulting a woman inside her Wilson College dorm room was sentenced to time served and paroled on Wednesday.

With the consent of the victim, the Commonwealth struck a plea agreement with Scott Fickes, 27, of 554 Lincoln Way East, Apt. 8, last month.

Fickes pleaded guilty to one count of criminal trespass. As part of the agreement he will not be prosecuted on one count each of sexual assault and indecent assault, according to court records.

"I am satisfied the plea agreement is appropriate given the extensive involvement of the victim in the plea agreement," Judge Carol Van Horn said.

She sentenced Fickes to serve 56 days in Franklin County Prison , gave him credit for time served and paroled him Wednesday.

Fickes will spend five years on probation, under the supervision of the Franklin County Probation Department.

Fickes said he has been taking anger management classes.

"Hopefully through the classes I will be able to make a change in myself. I will stay out of trouble," he said.

The victim told Chambersburg Police she and another woman went with Fickes to a Chambersburg tavern June 23 and left together at 2:30 a.m., according to court records. One woman took Fickes back to her dorm room at Wilson College.

The victim told police she had been drinking and was tired and immediately got undressed and went to bed in her own room at the college.

The victim woke up a short time later with a man naked on top of her, court records said.
