FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - A two-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon on Lincoln Way East near the Schaff Mobile Home Park claimed the life of a Franklin County, Pa., man, Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg said.

Police said Albert Uglow, 77, of Fayetteville, Pa., was killed when his Geo Prizm collided with another vehicle on U.S. 30 near Chickentown Lane Extended in Greene Township, Pa.

According to police, Uglow was driving northbound on Chickentown Lane Extended and began to cross U.S. 30. He pulled into the path of Donald D. Dragoo, 69, of York, Pa., who was eastbound on U.S. 30, police said.

Dragoo swerved his Ford F250 pickup truck into the center and westbound lanes, but struck the Prism on the driver's side, police said. The F250 pushed the Prizm approximately 130 feet and the two vehicles came to rest in the yard of a resident along U.S. 30, police said.

The F250 was towing an RV, police said.

The passenger in the Prizm, Catherine K. Uglow, 78, of Fayetteville, sustained moderate injuries. More information about her condition was unavailable Thursday night.

Anna-Mae Dragoo, 73, a passenger in the F250, and Donald Dragoo were not injured.

All occupants were wearing seat belts, police said.

The 4:10 p.m. accident brought firefighters from Fayetteville and Mont Alto to the scene.
