Police log for 9/9

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief at a Hamilton Township gas station last week.

Between 10 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday, someone damaged a window at Sandy's Exxon, 1080 Lincoln Way West, police said.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg have released their August crime and patrol statistics.

During the month, police responded to 133 accidents, including 15 hit-and-runs. None of the accidents was fatal, but 62 people were injured, according to Sgt. James Brown.

Police also issued 425 traffic citations, 320 warning notices and made 32 driving-under-the-influence arrests.

Also during August, 382 offenses were reported to Pennsylvania State Police, which led to 208 criminal arrests.
