Spring Alpha Course offered at Pa. church

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Presbyterian Church of the Falling Spring in Chambersburg will begin the Spring Alpha Course with a celebration dinner at 6 p.m. tonight in Rooms 107-108 in the Christian Education Building, 221 N. Main St.

Alpha, a 15-session, 10-week practical introduction to the Christian faith, is a simple way of presenting the message of Jesus Christ in a clear and non-threatening manner to people from all walks of life, including those with no faith and those who do not attend services regularly, organizers say.

At each weekly session, participants have a meal and a talk is presented. Afterward, people gather in small groups to explore and share their thoughts and feelings about what they have just heard. Trained lay people facilitate the discussions.

To learn more about Alpha, call the church at 717-264-5715 or attend tonight's celebration dinner.
