Florence M. Myers

Florence Melinda Myers, 85, formerly of 55 E. Washington St., Hagerstown, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, at Coffman Nursing Home in Hagerstown.

Born March 13, 1917, in Lisburn, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Joseph C. and Dora E. Hollinger Kilmore.

She retired from Troy Laundry, and had previously been employed by San Mar Orphanage.

She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.

She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary and the AARP.

She is survived by a son, Lauren S. Myers Jr. of Hagerstown; a sister, Aquilla Swartz of York, Pa.; and two grandchildren, Kelli Ann Myers of Hagerstown, and Kristi Leigh Myers of Towson, Md.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Dennis L. Upton will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.




Regina F. Orndorff

Regina Faye Orndorff, 68, of 20019 Sheridan Ave., Hagerstown, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Nov. 13, 1933, in Frederick, Md., she was the daughter of the late Raymond D. and Mary Alice Rudy Baker.

She was employed at Fort Ritchie.

She was a member of Harmony Church of the Brethren in Myersville, Md.

She was a member of the AARP and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

She is survived by her husband, David L. Orndorff; two daughters, Rebecca M. Orndorff of Hagerstown, and Leanne Shoemaker of Alexandria, Va.; a son, Randy Shoemaker of Scotland, Pa.; three sisters, Betty Bowman of Boonsboro, Carolyn Aiken of Gaithersburg, Md., and Deanie Scadden of Martinsburg, W.Va.; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Gary W. Scadden.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Tracy L. Wiser will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Lovettsville, Va.

Visitation will be Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Domenic F. Prizio

LEESBURG, Va. - Domenic Francis Prizio, 83, of 316 Harrison St. S.E., died Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, at Loudoun Hospital, Cornwall Street unit, Leesburg.

Born Jan. 3, 1919, in Massachusetts, he was the son of the late John A. and Antonetta Prizio.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Esther Prizio.

He was employed as a mechanic for United Airlines for 34 years, and before that was employed by Fairchild in Hagerstown.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by a stepdaughter, Virginia S. Anderson of Hagerstown; a brother, Ottavia J. Prizio of Hanover, Pa., four grandchildren, Candace Davidson, Tamara Fraker, Carole McComas and Barbara Miner; eight great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, Leesburg. The Rev. Robert C. Brooks will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Leesburg.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, Leesburg.

George R. Schwensen

BALTIMORE - George R. Schwensen, who died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002 is survived by his wife, Betty Floray Schwensen.




Larry J. Martin

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Larry J. Martin, 54, of Martinsburg, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, at his home.

Born Jan. 15, 1948, in Abingdon, Va., he was the son of the late Clarence and Lydia Lester Martin.

He was employed by Blue Stone Construction as a heavy equipment operator.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Virts Martin; three daughters, Candy Wells of Kearneysville, W.Va., and Deanna Martin and Casey Harper, both of Martinsburg; a son, James Martin of Martinsburg; two sisters, Beulah Blaylock of Leesburg, Va., and Catherine Cumor of Front Royal, Va.; a brother, Bill Martin of Front Royal; and five grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Gerrardstown Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Gerrardstown, W.Va. The Rev. Russell Wright will officiate.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.




Gerald L. Mauck Sr.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Gerald LeGard Mauck Sr., 67, of Martinsburg, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, at Winchester (Va.) Medical Center.

Born Oct. 25, 1934, in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Vernon E. and Eva Brown Mauck.

He was a partner in VE Mauck & Sons, a family business in the area, for more than 50 years.

He was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church.
