The Mowens

Mr. and Mrs. Rollo and Anna Mowen, of State Line, Pa., celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary, Saturday, July 27, 2002.

They spent a quiet day topped off by dinner at one of their favorite restaurants.

Mrs. Mowen enjoys her garden and flowers.

Mr. Mowen enjoys game shows, sports and their poodle, Sam I.

The Feigleys

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Feigley were surprised by family and friends at a party Saturday, July 27, 2002, at Crazy Horse Restaurant in celebration of their 25th wedding anniversary. The party was hosted by their daughter, Rebecca, and Mr. Feigley's mother, Velma.

The Feigleys were married Aug. 12, 1977, by Pastor Dean Miller at the Church of the Brethren in Hagerstown.

Mr. Feigley is the son of Velma A. Feigley and James T. Feigley. He is a machinist for Custom Machine Shop in Hagerstown.


Mrs. Feigley is the former Debbie Yeager, daughter of the late Pauline E. Yeager. She is employed by Washington County Board of Education as a bus aide and part-time bus driver.

They have two daughters, Rebecca A. and Mary E. Feigley.

The Lyleses

Mr. and Mrs. G. Robert Lyles Jr. of Hagerstown celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., in June. Their children and spouses, Karen and Brian Kurtyka, G. Robert Lyles III and Barbara Chiapella, David and Robin Lyles, and Susan and Eric Reed were present, along with their five grandchildren and a friend.

The Lyles were married June 6, 1962, at the Presbyterian Church of Hagerstown by the Rev. Donald Brown.

Mr. Lyles is the son of G. Robert Lyles Sr. and Zemma Hawkins Lyles. He is a 1949 graduate of Georgetown University and continue post graduate studies at University of Maryland. He was commissioned as second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force in 1951. After a tour in Korea, he was employed at his father's business, Supreme Concrete, Block and Products. He sold the plants in 1965 to enter the real estate business.

Mrs. Lyles is the former Emma G. Corley, daughter of the late Forest Bitner and Elmeda Bullock Corley, formerly of Cumberland, Md. She is a 1962 graduate of Washington County School of Nursing. She is a registered nurse and homemaker.
