Three injured in W.Va. when vehicle hits tree



KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. - Three people were injured when a car hit a tree Saturday on Border Road off W.Va. 9 near Kearneysville, according to a fire official.

Two teenagers in the car were airlifted out for treatment while a third was taken by ambulance to Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va., said Shepherdstown Volunteer Fire Department Chief Leon Catrow.

Catrow did not know the victim's names or conditions. Deputies who investigated the accident could not be reached.




Dodge Ram stolen in Southampton Township



SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the theft of a motor vehicle in Southampton Township in Franklin County, police said Saturday.

A 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 was stolen between Aug. 19 and Aug. 25 from the 1200 block of Leasing Drive, police said.

Police probe burglary in Greene Township



GREENE TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the burglary of a residence under construction in Greene Township in Franklin County, police said.

Someone entered the home in the 400 block of Allen Drive Friday night or Saturday morning and removed four green canvas bags containing various power and hand tools, police said.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call the police at 1-717-264-5161.




Tractor is taken from Chambersburg business



CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the theft of a tractor from a Chambersburg business, police said.

The tractor was stolen Monday night or Tuesday morning, police said.
