Fire burns house in Harpers Ferry

August 26, 2002|by DAVE McMILLION

HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - Firefighters worked for about two hours Sunday morning to extinguish a fire in a house on Chestnut Hill Road, said a fire official.

The blaze, which began about 7 a.m., started in a prefabricated house that had also caught fire several months ago, said Scott Knill, chief of the Blue Ridge Mountain Fire Co.

Both blazes are under investigation, Knill said.

The house is owned by William Rinker, who leases it, Knill said.
