BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Nearly 100 works of art will be auctioned: stained glass, photography, jewelry, watercolors, pottery, metal work. Items now on display at Ice House Gallery, Mountain Laurel and Tari's Cafe and Gallery. Also a silent auction of non-art goods. Silent auction is Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The silent auction will close at 2 p.m. Sunday as the live auction begins. Fiber art exhibit opens
FREDERICK, Md. - Fiber art show addressing contemporary family issues, titled "Fabricator: The Narrative and Contemporary Fiber Art," will display the works of Canadian artists Robin Arseneault and Luanne Martineau and Chicago artists Julia Petho and Shannon Stratton. The Washington County Arts Council Gallery hosts Mixed Multi-Media, known as M3, a program that involves music, poetry and the visual arts on the second Friday of each month. Shepherdstown Drum Ensemble and photographer Bruce Wilder will be featured Sept. 13. The program includes poetry and short fiction readings by regional authors, a brief discussion of the photos and a concert of acoustic music. Free. Light refreshments will be served.
