AUGUSTA, Ga. - Brandon Florence tripled leading off the seventh inning and scored on Tyler Von Schell's groundout as the Hagerstown Suns defeated the Augusta GreenJackets 4-3 on Wednesday.
The Suns (28-34) got a solid effort from Anthony Pannone (9-8), who went seven innings, striking out two and walking one, and closer Julio Pavon, who allowed only a ninth-inning walk while going two innings for his seventh save.
Derin McMains plated Hagerstown's first run with a groundout in the first inning. Miguel Miranda knocked in the Suns' second run with a groundout and an error gave Hagerstown a 3-0 lead through its half of the fourth inning.
Augusta scored one run in the fourth and a Suns' error led to two unearned runs in the fifth to tie the game.
