1. Do you think the county gives the school board enough money? Why or why not?

?I think the County Commissioners are funding the School Board to the best of their ability. I think the School Board needs to exercise a little more fiscal responsibility.?

2. Do you support a tax to fund fire and rescue services? Why or why not?

?Yes. I think the county needs to have a county-wide standard for fire and rescue services. I think there needs to be some coordination in place to make those services uniform across the county so the less-populated, more sparse sections have as good services as the more populated, more dense areas.? This can be done through a county-wide fire and rescue tax.

3. Should the county help fund a new baseball stadium? Why or why not?

"No. I truly do not believe the county should be funding anything that is a private enterprise."

4. Should the county provide funds for additional deputies and, if so, where would the money come from?

He thinks the county should explore merging the Sheriff's Department with the Hagerstown Police Department. Money saved from the consolidation could be used to increase the amount of law enforcement.

5. What do you believe is the biggest issue facing the county and why?

The pressure of increased development. The county needs to watch for unplanned growth because it could negatively affect residents and local infrastructure. "Growth is something that needs to be planned."
