Four receive promotions at JLG Industries

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - JLG Industries announces the following organization changes to support the company's growth opportunities for its European telehandler, aerial work platform and excavator products.

-- Wayne Lawson has been appointed vice president of sales for the United Kingdom, continental Europe and developing markets.

Lawson will direct all sales activity within the regions and will continue to provide direction and customer support for all of Europe. He will also be responsible for developing the sales plan and support needed for excavator products throughout Europe.

Prior to joining JLG, Lawson worked for 12 years at Grove Worldwide in Shady Grove, Pa., where he last served as senior vice president of sales and marketing.

-- Maurizio Risso has been appointed sales director for European telehandlers.

Risso will be responsible for the sales, market development and support for JLG's European telehandler product line.

Prior to joining JLG, Risso served for nearly 10 years as overseas sales manager for Merlo, a prominent Italian manufacturer and distributor of telehandlers.

-- Davide Barbon has been named director of product management for the European telehandler.

Barbon will be responsible for coordinating the product development and marketing research needed to support the European telehandler product line.

Barbon joined JLG in 1996 and has served as a market statistical analyst, international sales specialist and manager of international sales for markets in Latin America. Most recently, he served as a project specialist in business development with involvement in the European telehandler acquisition.

-- Tony Sterner has been named general manager for Latin American sales.

Sterner will be responsible for JLG product distribution in all Latin American territories, including Central America, South America, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Prior to joining JLG, Sterner was employed for more than 18 years by Grove Worldwide in Shady Grove, Pa., where he last served as district manager for Latin America with responsibility for sales of cranes and aerial work platforms. Previously, he was district service representative for Grove's full line of products in 12 Latin American countries.
