Woman says she was raped after accepting ride from man



FREDERICK, Md. - A Walkersville woman told Maryland State Police in Frederick that she was raped by a passing motorist as she was walking along Stauffer Road around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said Friday that the motorist offered the woman a ride and she accepted and got into his car where the attack allegedly occurred.

The suspect was described as a black male in his late 20s to early 30s, 5 feet, 7 inches tall with close-cropped hair. He was wearing a blue T-shirt and dark fleece pants. He was driving a dark blue four-door sedan, police said.




Stolen top



CASCADE - A convertible top to a 1987 Suzki Samurai was stolen from a home in the 25400 block of Cascade Road, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Department. The item was valued at $300.

Lawnmower missing



A push lawnmower was reported taken from a shed in the 11000 block of Clinton Avenue, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Department. The mower was valued at about $100.
