Annita L. Capouellez-Flett

POTTSTOWN, Pa. - Annita Lynn Capouellez-Flett, 34, of Belmont Street, and formerly of State Line, Pa., died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at Phoenixville (Pa.) Hospital after completing her work shift at the hospital.

Born Aug. 17, 1967, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of Linda Lee Dishart Capouellez of State Line, and the late Clifford Robert Capouellez.

She worked as a registered nurse at Phoenixville Hospital.

She was a member of the U.S. Air Force Reserves.

She attended St. Thomas More Catholic Church in North Coventry, Pa.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, David Blair Flett; two sisters, Christina Ludy of Cowansville, Pa., and Carrie R. Capouellez of Pottstown; maternal grandmother, Edith Butler of Evansburg, Pa.; two nephews; and aunts and uncles.

Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Harold Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Greencastle, Pa. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg, Pa.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Devlin-Rosmos-Kepp Funeral Home, Phoenixville; and Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Zimmerman Funeral Home, Greencastle.

Edwin L. Koontz

HANOVER, Pa. - Edwin L. "Eddie" Koontz, 59, of Hanover, and formerly of Hagerstown and Frederick, Md., died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002, at The Brethren Home Community in New Oxford, Pa.

Born Nov. 30, 1942, in Hagers-town, he was the son of the late Robert and Frances Davis.

He was employed by EVAPCO in Taneytown, Md., for 19 years.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Ella "Faye" Keefer Koontz; five daughters, Teresa Koontz of Hanover, Pam Carmody of New Jersey, Eleanor Carmody of Indiana, Belinda Kinsey of Georgia, and Fran Roth of Florida; two sons, Jason Koontz of Hanover, and Charles Koontz of Taneytown; four sisters, Sherley Stottlemyer of Hagerstown, Carolyn Stottlemyer and Sarah Breeden, both of Falling Waters, W.Va., and Bertha Straub of Martinsburg, W.Va.; one brother, Raymond Malley of Hagerstown; and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Teresa Hawkins.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown. The Rev. Edward Pal will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

Viewing will be Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Panebaker Funeral Home, Hanover; and Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown.

Hazel M. Hines

ST. THOMAS, Pa. - Hazel M. Hines, 71, of 2173 Appleway, died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.

Born Oct. 1, 1930, in Hollidaysburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Ira and Florence Smith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith M. Hines Sr.

She attended Hollidaysburg schools.

She was employed by Nickels Department Store in Chambersburg for five years.

She is survived by one son, Keith M. Hines Jr. of St. Thomas.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are by Cumberland Valley Crematorium, Waynesboro, Pa.




Kenneth W. Merriman

KNOXVILLE, Md. - Kenneth William Merriman, 39, of 4101 Olive School Road, died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at Frederick (Md.) Memorial Hospital.

Born Oct. 8, 1962, in Brunswick, Md., he was the son of Betty Greenfield Merriman of Brunswick, and the late Bobby Merriman.

He was a 1980 graduate of Brunswick High School.

He was employed as a service technician at McHenry Equipment in Frederick, Md.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Brunswick.

He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1136 of Brunswick, and the National Rifle Association.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Carolyn Umbaugh Merriman; one daughter, Amber D. Merriman, at home; two sisters, Penny McLane and Karen Cunningham, both of Brunswick; two brothers, Donald R. Merriman and Thomas Merriman, both of Brunswick; three half-sisters, Terry James of San Diego, Cindy Payne of Leesburg, Va., and Kathy Sears of Brunswick; seven nieces; eight nephews; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Brunswick. The Rev. Daniel T. Spiker will officiate. Burial will be in Park Heights Cemetery, Brunswick.

The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the church, which will open at 10 a.m.

William L. Totman

QUINCY, Pa. - William L. "Bill" Totman, 83, of 505-A Marshview Drive, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002, at Quincy United Methodist Home.

Born May 14, 1919, in Cortland, N.Y., he was the son of the late Eugene and Mary Murphy Totman.
