Shawn Michelle Knapp and Shoney Rhett Reasner announce their engagement.

Ms. Knapp is the daughter of Nancy and Gerry Draina of Hagerstown and Fred and Linda Knapp of Hedgesville, W.Va. She is a 1993 graduate of Clear Spring High School. She is employed as a service operations manager at First Data Merchant Services in Hagerstown.

Mr. Reasner is the son of John L. Reasner Jr. of Fayetteville, Pa., and Tinker and Alan Ashworth of Pectonville, Md. He is a 1993 graduate of Clear Spring High School. He is employed by DOT Food and The Crazy Horse Restaurant, both in Hagerstown.

A Sept. 15 wedding is planned.


Judith Ann Cole and Christopher Edward March announce their engagement.

Ms. Cole is the daughter of Emmett Loy of Hagerstown and the late Helen Warnick. She is a 1986 graduate of Linganore High School and is attending the Academy of Medical Arts and Business, in the medical assistant specialist program.


Mr. March is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne March of Palmyra, Pa. He is a 1993 graduate of Palmyra High School. He is employed as a body shop technician for Faulkner Pontiac in Harrisburg, Pa.

A May 2003 wedding is planned.


Gina I. Smith and Kevin L. Shaffer announce their engagement.

Ms. Smith is the daughter of Diane and Paul Smith Jr. of Boonsboro. She is a graduate of Boonsboro High School and Hagerstown Junior College. She received a master of science degree in management and a master of business administration degree from University of Maryland University College. She is employed as an audit manager in the Inspector General's office at the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Mr. Shaffer is the son of Clara Evanchick of Colver, Pa., and John Shaffer of Ebensburg, Pa. He is a graduate of Central Cambria High School in Ebensburg. He served 12 1/2 years in the U.S. Navy, where he managed a chemistry/health physics division. He is employed as a HVAC installation tech/programmer for Johnson Controls Inc.

A wedding date has not been set.
