"This is a wonderful team to coach," Halfway manager Scott Herbert said. "I have not been around a complete group of kids on a team that can hit, play defense and is fundamentally sound from the first player to the last player."
Halfway's five-run outburst in the the sixth consisted of an RBI single by Josh Green, a two-run double by Dylan Zimmerman, a throwing error that scored Zimmerman and an RBI single by Chris McSherry.
