LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Hagerstown Suns won their second straight and fourth in five games Saturday with a 6-5 win over the Lexington Legends before 7,195 at Applebee's Park.
Robbie Meyer's solo homer in the eighth inning broke a 5-5 tie, and Ryan Meaux retired the side in the ninth for his 15th save.
Hagerstown took a 2-0 lead in the second on Scoop McDowell's homer. Julian Benavidez gave the Suns a 3-1 lead in the sixth with a single, the team's third straight. McDowell and Justin Knoedler hit sacrifice flies for a 5-1 lead.
Lexington rallied to tie the game in the seventh with a two-run homer off Hagerstown winner James Gregg (5-2).
Meyer then homered to left-center field to give Hagerstown (9-21) the lead.
