Mary M. Resley

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Mary Myers Foley Resley, 91, of 50 S. Linden Ave., died Tuesday, July 16, 2002, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.

Born March 7, 1911, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Raymond "Ray" E. and Eva J. Brumbaugh Myers.

Her first husband, Carlton M. Foley, died in 1960.

Her second husband, Floyd C. Resley, died in 1977.

She was a 1929 graduate of Greencastle High School, and graduated from Shippensburg Normal School, now known as Shippensburg University.

She was a school teacher for 27 1/2 years in the Greencastle-Antrim School District, teaching at Brown's Mill and South Antrim schools.

She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in State Line, Pa., where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School class. She was a former member of Grace United Church of Christ in Greencastle.

She was a member of the national, state and local Associations of Retired Teachers, Greencastle-Antrim Senior Women's Club, Greencastle Homemakers and Greencastle-Antrim Loyal Daughters of the Old Home Week Association. She attended Greencastle Senior Citizens Center Card Club and Leitersburg Senior Citizens Center.

She is survived by one son, Harry R. Foley of Greencastle; two stepsons, F. Robert Resley and Warren A. Resley, both of Williamsport; one granddaughter; one grandson; seven stepgrandchildren; and 13 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown. The Rev. Edwin Higgenbottom will officiate.

There will be no viewing.

Robert A. Wastler

VANCOUVER, Wash. - Robert A. Wastler, 80, of Vancouver, and formerly of Funkstown, died Tuesday, July 9, 2002.

Born Nov. 17, 1921, in Funkstown, he was the son of the late George Carl and Mabel Rosenburg Wastler.

He retired as a mechanic and machinist.

He was a veteran of World War II, and a survivor of Pearl Harbor.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Pearl Harbor Survivors.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Evelyn Davis Wastler; one daughter, Patricia Lewis of The Dalles, Ore.; one son, Donald Wastler of Vancouver; two sisters, Mary Wastler Kuster and Constance Wastler, both of Hagerstown; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Wastler Hanratty.

A memorial service will be today at 11 a.m. at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Ore.

Hazel J. Myers

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Hazel J. Keller Myers, 94, of 11649 Grant Shook Road, died Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at Waynesboro Hospital, Waynesboro, Pa.

Born Feb. 22, 1908, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Thomas and Vernia Anna Myers Keller.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Myers, in 1978. They were married June 29, 1924.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Calvary Bible Church in Greencastle.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary C. Chamberlin of Greencastle; two sons, Eugene P. Myers and Charles K. Myers, both of Greencastle; one sister, Mildred L. Chamberlin of Five Forks, Pa.; two brothers, Clarence Keller and Ralph Keller, both of Greencastle; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son, Raymond L. Myers; two sisters, Catherine Harbaugh and Anna Myers; and five brothers, Ernest Keller, Jim Keller, Clyde Keller, Lee Keller and John Keller.

Services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Calvary Bible Church, Greencastle. The Rev. Glen A. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, Pa.

The family will receive friends Sunday at 2 p.m. at the church.

Hazel M. Russell

ORRSTOWN, Pa. - Hazel M. Kane Russell, 77, of 11927 Mountain Road, died Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, Pa.

Born April 23, 1925, in Franklin County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Clarence Keefer Sr. and Ruth Hoch Keefer.

She retired from the former J. Schoeneman Co. in Chambersburg.

She attended Orrstown United Brethren Church.

She is survived by her husband, David E. Russell; two daughters, Barbara A. Timmons and Shelly R. Ott, both of Chambersburg; two sisters, Evelyn Ingram of Chambersburg, and Frances Hockenberry of Harrisburg, Pa.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

A memorial service will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg, Pa. The Rev. W.K. "Russ" Lee will officiate.
