    Dist. 1 11-12 Little League All-Stars

    Oakland 12, Federal 11: For Oakland, Jeff Stem and Jason Ashby both had home runs and two hits, while Mark Bittinger also had two hits in the winner's bracket semifinals. For Federal, Colin McWilliams and Nathan Harden had three hits, Tommy Evans had a homer and David Bowen had two hits.

    Today's Schedule: American at National/PVAA winner, Clear Spring at Maugansville. Both games start at 6 p.m.

    Emmitsburg 11-12 Tournament

    Smithsburg 10, Emmitsburg 0: Chris Blickenstaff had three hits, and both Tim Cole and Theo Nehemias had two hits for Smithsburg. Mark Long had two hits for Emmitsburg.


    Williamsport 4, Taneytown 3

    Ben Jordan had three hits and drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning as the Senators survived the second round of the Mid-Maryland Tournament.

    Williamsport also scored three times in the bottom of the seventh to force extra frames. Leo Schill had two hits and Josh Mitchell and Zeb Jacobs combined for 17 strikeouts.

Funkstown 3, Walkersville 1

Funkstown advances to play Williamsport in the title game at Williamsport High.


    Hagerstown Church Softball

    St. Mark's 14, Crossroads 13

    Hub City Softball

    Jerry's Sports/Broad Axe 15, Coors Light 5: Dave Foltz, Wade Elwood and Curtis Eby each had three hits and Steve Presgraves homered for Jerry's.

    Tri-State Fast Pitch

    TSFA White 8, Mack Trucks 7: Mark Symons and Jeremy Stonebreaker each went 2-for-4 for TSFA White. Ricky Martin and Chad Moats both homered for Mack Trucks.


    Diamonds camp still open

    There are still spots available in the 10th Diamonds in the Rough baseball camp, which will be held later this month.
