Hagerstown Sluggers second

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Hagerstown Sluggers 14-under team finished second in a tournament going 2-5. Adrienne Munoz batted .540, Kelly Dofflemyer hit .400, Adrienne Kesecker had both wins as the pitcher walking one batter in five games. Kesecker batted over .300, as did Katie Zimmer and Cara Thompson.

District 1 11-12 tourmanent

Oakland 2, Frostburg 1: on Saturday. Oakland will play PVAA on Tuesday.

Hagerstown PONY League

FOP 2, Eagles 1: Scott Keeney struck out eight as FOP clinched its division title with the win. T.J. Master had two hits for Eagles.




ADULT LEAGUES


Century 21 qualifies

Century went 4-0 in a tournament at Pinesburg to qualify for the Class C ASA tournament in Montgomery, Ala., from Sept. 19-22. Allen Moore bated .769, Jason Carter hit .643, Ralph Crawford hit .636, Louie Thomas and Mark Scott each hit .625 and Jeff Schlotterbeck hit .583.

Brunswick 7-15, Fayetteville 4-5

BRUNSWICK, Md. - Steve Goode hit two two-run homers in the second game of a doubleheader to lead the Orioles to a sweep. Kevin Goode and Corey O'Bryan also had two hits in Game 2 for Brunswick (20-5). In Game 1, Kevin Goode hit a three-run homer, and Steve Goode, John West and Jason Mobley all had two hits, including a homer by Mobley.
