CHARLESTOWN, W.Va. - The Hagerstown Suns lost for the 12th time in 15 second-half games, bowing to the Charleston Alley Cats 9-3 on Thursday night.
Hagerstown (37-48) never led Wednesday. Chaleston jumped out to a three-run lead before the Suns cut the lead to 3-1 in Keith Anderson's RBI groundout.
Hagerstown closed the gap to 4-2 on a wild pitch before Charleston built a 9-2 lead.
The Suns scored in the ninth on Miguel Miranda's RBI single.
Hagerstown, currently last in the South Atlantic League's Northern Division, begins a season-long 12-game homestand tonight against the Hickory Crawdads. The Suns are scheduled for 12 games over the next 13 days.
