Motorcyclist flown to hospital after accident

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - A motorcyclist was flown to a regional hospital following an accident Wednesday afternoon, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Police said a tractor-trailer pulled out from Commerce Avenue to travel south on U.S. 11 at 12:10 p.m. At the same time, a motorcycle was southbound on U.S. 11 and left 158 feet of skid marks before it dropped on its side, police said.

Police were not clear if the motorcycle and the truck impacted or if the motorcyclist was trying to avoid a collision.

The motorcyclist, who police did not identify Wednesday, was flown by Life Lion to York Hospital in York, Pa.

The driver of the truck, Vladmir Burrows, of Belle Haven, Va., was not injured, police said.

Police said they are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident and had no further information.

Warrant out on woman charged with theft

Hagerstown City Police have an arrest warrant for Amy Elizabeth Thomas for 14 counts of misdemeanor theft and one count of felony theft/scheme.


Thomas, 27, stands 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds and has brown hair and green eyes. Her last known address was 755 Guilford Ave.

Note: Last week's Most Wanted person, Rhonda Mahone, was apprehended Tuesday by Hagerstown City Police.

Mahone, 38, was wanted on a theft charge. She was being held Wednesday at the Washington County Detention Center on $5,000 bond.
