Geraldine A. Hughes

INWOOD, W.Va. - Geraldine A. Hughes, 72, of Inwood, died Saturday, June 29, 2002, at City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born Aug. 22, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Dorothy Rankin.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Hughes; three daughters, Deborah Yanchoris of Bunker Hill, W.Va., Jacqueline Newcomer of Martinsburg and Patricia Crossan of Baltimore; two sisters, Betty Insley of Baltimore and Joyce Lysakovsky of Street, Md.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at South Berkeley Chapel Funeral Home, Inwood. The Rev. William C. Crowe will officiate. Burial will be in Gerrardstown Presbyterian Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.




Mary F. Green

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Mary Frances Green, 76, of Martinsburg, died Friday, June 28, 2002, at Shenandoah Health Care Center in Charles Town, W.Va.

Born Jan. 22, 1926, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Cora E. Hunter Green.

She retired from the Department of Health and Human Resources.

She was a member of Prosperity Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sisters, Rose Hill, Mary Ann Wrice and Catherine Vierra, all of Connecticut; an aunt; a uncle; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. Pastor John Green will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.




Frances Z. Keller

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Frances Zepp Keller, 101, of Martinsburg, died Friday, June 28, 2002, at Canterbury Center in Shepherdstown, W.Va.

Born July 23, 1900, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ida Chapman Zepp.

She worked as a knitter at the former Interwoven Mills.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She was a member of Newton D. Baker Post 896 Ladies Auxiliary, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Berkeley Post 14 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, Charles Keller; a grandson, Howard Keller; a great-granddaughter; and nieces and nephews including Joan Myers, her caregiver.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth and May, and 10 brothers, Will, Jim, Ben, Evers, Paul, Tom, Joe, Vincent, Claude and John.

Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. T. Matthew Rowgh will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
