Herbert E. Kile

Herbert Eugene Kile, 67, of Hagerstown, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, in Bedford County, Pa.

Born Sept. 10, 1934, he was the son of the late Roy E. and Lora M. Vance Kile.

He retired as a carpenter from Antietam Construction.

A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Donivan; one daughter, Cynthia Neff of Hagerstown; two brothers, Roy Kile and Hubert Kile, both of Clearville, Pa.; one grandson, Douglas Vaughn, whom he raised; two granddaughters; six great-grandsons; and four stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Amy Kile; one sister, Pauline Wigfield; one brother, Dixie Kile; and one great-grandson.

Services will be private.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Hagerstown.




Nancy L. Ball

WILLIAMSPORT - Nancy Lee Ball, 65, of 39 E. Frederick St., died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at Washington County Hospital.

Born June 6, 1937, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of Irene Frances Moser Sprecher of Hagerstown, and the late Guy Wilbur Sprecher.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Allen Ball Sr., in 1986.

She was a homemaker.

She was a Protestant.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by two daughters, Brenda L. Jones of Hagerstown, and Linda S. Holtzman of Williamsport; one son, Larry A. Ball Jr. of Smithsburg; one sister, Patsy Kelly of Hagerstown; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport. The Rev. James E. Swecker will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will open at 9 a.m.




Dora J. Coyle

CASCADE - Dora Jane Coyle, 74, of Pennersville Road, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at Waynesboro Hospital, Waynesboro, Pa.

Born Dec. 24, 1927, in Knoxville, Md., she was the daughter of the late William Irvin and Mabel Emma Marie Darr Cooper.

She was a homemaker.

She attended Ringgold Church of Christ.

She was a member of Eastern Star of Thurmont, Md., and Ladies Auxiliary of the Blue Ridge Summit Fire Co.

She is survived by her husband, James D. Bob Coyle Jr., whom she married Oct. 20, 1945; three daughters, Judy Portner and Rose Poole, both of Cascade, and Bonnie Miller of Sabillasville, Md.; five sons, James Coyle III, Eddie Coyle, Bill Coyle, George Coyle and Jeff Coyle, all of Cascade; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

There will be no viewing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Easter Seals, 34 Roadside Ave., Waynesboro, PA 17268; or to a charity of one's choice.

Arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg.




Charles H. Kidwiler

REEDSON, W.Va. - Charles Harold "Jim" Kidwiler, 74, of Reedson, died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at Winchester (Va.) Medical Center.

Born Jan. 14, 1928, in Jefferson County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Charles and Myrtle Allen Kidwiler.

He retired in 1989 from the maintenance departments of Charles Town Races, Charles Town, W.Va., and Shepherd College, Shepherdstown, W.Va. Earlier, he worked at the Charles Town Grain and Feed Co.

He attended Engle United Methodist Church, and Bakerton (W.Va.) Church of God.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Betty Engle Kidwiler; three half-sisters, Esther Oden of Engle, Becky Lilla of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., and Mary E. Webb of Virginia; four half-brothers, Paul Snyder Jr. of Ontario, Calif., Charles Kidwiler of Florida, and Kenneth Kidwiler and Wilbert Kidwiler, both of Engle; and one niece.

He was preceded in death by his foster parents, Frank and Nellie Kidwiler; one half-sister, Ellie Triplett; and one half-brother, Ronald Kidwiler.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town. The Rev. Douglas Fraim will officiate. Burial will be in Uvilla (W.Va.) Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today and Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Rachel E. Divelbiss

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Rachel Elizabeth Divelbiss, 10, of Palmer Road, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at Children's National Medical Center in Washington.

Born Aug. 6, 1991, in McConnellsburg, Pa., she was the daughter of Raymond Blake and Kelly A. Thompson Divelbiss of Warfordsburg.

She was a fifth-grade student at Southern Fulton Elementary School.

She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hancock.
