Albertus B. Healey

Albertus Baker Healey, 93, of Hagerstown, died Monday, June 24, 2002, at Avalon Manor Nursing Home in Hagerstown.

Born Jan. 14, 1909, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Jacob Milton Albertus and Iva Emma Baker Healey.

His wife, Martha Tombaugh Healey, died in 1982.

He was a graduate of Porter-Gaud Military Academy in Charleston, S.C.

He owned Musey & Evans Menswear.

He was a member of B.P.O. Elks Lodge 378 and Potomac Fish and Game Club.

He is survived by one daughter, Ann Kline of Hagerstown; two sons, James A. Healey of Frostburg, Md., and David M. Healey of Hagerstown; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Jane Harbaugh Pethers; and five brothers, Francis Healey, Allan Healey, Wendell Healey, Ralph Healey and Charles Healey.

Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home in Hagerstown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, Washington County Unit, 1037 Haven Road, Hagerstown, MD 21742.




Robert B. Eversole

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Robert B. Eversole, 40, of 12 Warwick Court, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born April 27, 1962, in Allegheny County, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles W. and Ruth A. Blaha Eversole.

He was a 1980 graduate of Scotland (Pa.) School for Veterans' Children.

He was a self-employed painting contractor at R.B. Eversole Painting in Chambersburg.

He was a member of Open Door Church, Chambersburg.

He coached girls softball at Cumberland Valley Christian School, and was a member of the Open Door Church softball team.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Rotz Eversole, whom he married May 13, 1995; one daughter, Gabrielle Elise Eversole, at home; and one brother, Ronald Eversole of Gettysburg, Pa.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Open Door Church, Chambersburg. The Revs. Keith Skelton and Carl McKee will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to Open Door Church or Cumberland Valley Christian School, both at 600 Miller St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.




Mary S. Donat

Services for Mary Schlotterbeck Donat, 98, of 1175 Professional Court, Hagerstown, who died Monday, June 24, 2002, will be today at 11 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown.




Wanda J. Welch

WILLIAMSPORT - Wanda Jean Welch, 56, of 214 S. Conococheague St., died Monday, June 24, 2002, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.

Born Nov. 23, 1945, in Martinsburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Daniel Butler and Grace Myers Shackelford.

She retired in 1999 from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg.

She was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church in Williamsport.

She is survived by her husband, William R. Welch, whom she married June 29, 1973; one daughter, Barbara W. Seibert of Greencastle, Pa.; one son, David W. Welch of Williamsport; one sister, Doris L. Schoppert of Martinsburg; one brother, Paul D. Shackelford of Martinsburg; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Daniel W. Shackelford.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport. The Rev. James E. Swecker will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open after 9 a.m.




Stella A. Fitzgerald

Stella Anastania Fitzgerald, 85, of 47-D Elgin Blvd., Hagerstown, died Saturday, June 22, 2002, at Beverly Healthcare of Hagers-town.

Born Sept. 14, 1916, in Cleveland, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Poplik Wolanski.

Her husband, Geoffrey Townshend Fitzgerald, died in 1970.

She retired in 1982 from Washington County Hospital after 25 years.

She is survived by two cousins.

A memorial service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown. The Rev. Michael J. Jendrek will officiate.

John McKenna

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - John McKenna, 91, of Martinsburg, died Monday, June 24, 2002, at Winchester (Va.) Medical Center.

Born March 15, 1911, in Wood, Pa., he was the son of the late Harry and Helen Palco McKenna.

He was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta Michael McKenna; two sons, Donald McKeta of Seattle, and Michael J. McKeta of Hellertown, Pa.; two stepsons, E. Richard Dawson of Jacksonville, Fla., and William H. Dawson of Winchester; two sisters, Helen Britinger of Wayside, Pa., and Ann Rhodes of Roswell, N.M.; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Samuel Richard McKeta.

Services and burial will be private.
