Cops suspect medical condition caused crash

FREDERICK, Md. - Police suspect a medical condition may have caused a Frederick, Md., man to lose control of his car and hit seven vehicles Friday.

Charles Jones, 20, was westbound on West Patrick Street when his car struck the vehicles that were stopped for a red light at the intersection of West College Terrace, police said.

Jones continued through the intersection and pulled into the entrance of Frederick High School, where he stopped, police said.

Jones took a blood test at Frederick Memorial Hospital. The investigation so far indicates that a medical condition may have contributed to the 11:30 a.m. accident. Police did not say what kind of medical condition they suspect.
