Elizabeth M. Nichols

SOUTH MOUNTAIN, Pa. - Elizabeth Moore Nichols, 68, of South Mountain Restoration Center, and formerly of Philadelphia, died Monday, June 17, 2002, at the center.

Born July 17, 1933, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Moore Ramsey.

She attended schools until the 10th grade.

She worked as a factory worker for manufacturing companies in the Philadelphia area.

She was a member of United Church of Christ.

She is survived by two sisters, Peggy Brun of Horsham, Pa., and Georgena Donofry of Hatboro, Pa.; one niece; and one nephew.

Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the auditorium of South Mountain Restoration Center. The Rev. Richard Stuempfle will officiate. Private burial will be in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Mt. Airy, Philadelphia.

Visitation will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the auditorium.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Volunteers Association of South Mountain Restoration Center, 10058 South Mountain Road, South Mountain, PA 17261.

Joshua D. Horne

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Joshua David Horne, 2 months old, of 13180 Lenape Lane, died Saturday, June 15, 2002, at his home.

Born April 1, 2002, in Waynesboro, he was the son of Thomas and Janene Hess Horne.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Joel Horne, at home; maternal grandparents, Clair and Ella Jane Warner Hess of York, Pa.; paternal grandparents, John and Shirley Williard Horne of Grove City, Pa.; and aunts and uncles.

Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro. Pastor Bill Schuit will officiate.

The family will receive friends Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Felix L. Boccucci Sr.

FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Felix L. Boccucci Sr., 73, of Falling Waters, died Monday, June 17, 2002, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Aug. 3, 1928, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Mario and Mary Grace Gentilcore Boccucci.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was a member of AMVETS Post 38, Bishop Byrne Council 3877, Knights of Columbus and NARFE 1236.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Theodore Boccucci; one son, Felix L. Boccucci Jr. of La Grange, Ga.; one daughter, Marie Nicol of Falling Waters; two sisters, Marie Albertini of Pittsburg, Kan., and Rosalie Vlach of Washington, D.C.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. John V. DiBacco Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Falling Waters Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Spring Mills.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Harold A. Gigeous

MAUGANSVILLE - Harold Atlee Gigeous, 76, of 14011 Village Mill Drive, and formerly of Strite Road, Hagerstown, died Sunday, June 16, 2002, at his home.

Born June 11, 1926, in Funkstown, he was the son of the late Seibert S. and Adeline M. Burk Gigeous.

His wife, Juanita C. Gigeous, died in 1976.

He was a subcontractor for the U.S. Postal Service, and owned and operated a garage in Hagerstown until retirement.

He was a former member of Hagerstown Church of the Brethren.

He was a member of AARP; Leitersburg Senior Citizens; and National Rifle Association.

He is survived by two sons, David H. Gigeous of Clear Spring, and Dennis W. Gigeous of Hagerstown; one brother, Charles Harshman of Hagerstown; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and his companion, Dolly Cross of Maugansville.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Shrader.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. The Rev. Arvel J. Barrett will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.




Floyd L. Wright

Floyd Lewis "Pete" Wright, 65, of 329 Nottingham Road, Hagerstown, died Monday, June 17, 2002, at Washington County Hospital.

Born May 10, 1937, in Bedford County, Pa., he was the son of the late Shannon and Velma Gamble Wright.

He was a 1955 graduate of Mt. Savage (Md.) High School.

He was employed by Mack Trucks from 1963 to 1994.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of Hagerstown Church of the Brethren, Ordinary People Sunday School Class, and was an usher and greeter.

He had been president of the Hagerstown Run for Fun Club, was a certified official timer for Western Maryland Track Officials, and officiated at local high school indoor track meets and cross country races.

He was a member of AARP; Western Maryland Enterprise Fire Co. Station 4; Friendship Lodge 84 AF&AM; Beaver Creek Country Club and UAW Local 171.
