School fire rules arson

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an attempted arson at a Chambersburg elementary school that happened less than two days after arson damaged a private school.

Someone broke into the rear of Falling Spring Elementary School, 1006 Falling Spring Road, between 7 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday and attempted to set a fire, police said.

The fire burned out, causing only minor damage, police said.

On Wednesday, four fires set inside and outside of the Cumberland Valley Christian School in Chambersburg caused $150,000.

Investigators have ruled those fires as arson, but no arrests have been made.
