Three flown to Baltimore following Sunday crash

INDIAN SPRINGS - Two Maryland State Police medevac helicopters flew three patients to Baltimore Sunday night from a Pecktonville Road accident that injured four, said rescue officials.

The injured were all occupants of a 1985 Ford truck that ran into a tree in the 13200 block of Pecktonville Road around 8:15 p.m., said Washington County Sheriff's deputies.

One helicopter transported the most seriously injured occupant, while a second helicopter took two additional patients from the scene. All three were flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, rescue officials said.

A fourth patient was transported by ambulance to Washington County Hospital.

No names were available Sunday night.

Deputy 1st Class Brad Creek is investigating the accident.
