Winchester 3, Funkstown 2

Jeremy McAfee struck out six and allowed just one hit, but Winchester scored three unearned runs to beat Funkstown (16-2). Bryson Appel had two hits to lead Funkstown.

Rick Vaughn had Winchester's only hit.


American Little League

Thompson Concrete 2, FOP 1: James Eichleberger threw a two-hitter for Thompson, while Justin Myers threw a two-hitter for FOP.

Funkstown Legion 11, Eagles 1: Todd Jacobson threw a one-hitter and Tim Jacobson had two hits for Funkstown Legion.

Clear Spring Little League

Athletics 16, Cubs 11: Bruce Mills, Sammy Mills and Danny Reed each had three hits, while Cody Butts and Justin Higgins had two hits for the Athletics.


Conococheague Minor League

Reid's Elevator 10, Yankees 8: Scott Drury, Zachary Clark and Nick Reed each had two hits for Reid's. Jordan Palladino and Brandon Rowland each had two hits for the Yankees.

Federal Little League

Rotary 24, Kiwanis 8: Colin McWilliams had four hits, including and two homers, while Matt Amalfitano, Caroline Kreiger and Tyler Presgraves each added four hits for Rotary. Kyle Hoffman had three hits and Cody Nelling and Justin Mills each had two hits for the winners.

Alsatia 14, Lions 7: Jimmy Hill, Andrew Jarvis and Ryan Kaplan each had three hits and Nick Simpson had two for Alsatia.

Hagerstown Colt League

Goodwill 19, Henson 5: Gary Wolfe hit two home runs - one a grand slam -to lead Goodwill. Wolfe finished with thre hits and six RBI. Mike Campbell also had three hits, including a home run, while Tyler Jones added two hits for the winners. David Kendle led Henson with two hits.

Hagerstown PONY League

Hagerstown Floors 9, Firefighters 8: Josh Light and Aaron Dixon each had two hits, while Blake McCoy struck out 12 for Hagerstown Floors. Logan Miller struck out 11 for Firefighters.

Redmen 7, Jeter 4: Dereck Hadley and Cory Itnyre homered and Hadley, Joey Siler and Aerik Taylor each had two hits for Redmen. Jeremiah Mills, Billy Bucklew and Jerrell Rodrigus each had two hits and Mills homered for Jeter.

Junior Interleague

Post 202 6, Boonsboro Pharmacy 4: Coty Grove and Gio Perez had three hits, while Brent Decker and Cody Velcastrow had two hits each for Post 202.

Maugansville Little League

Ruritan 3, Maugans Oil 2: Joshua Constable threw a three-hitter and Brendan Palmer had two hits for Ruritan. Brandon Glazer struck out 12 for Maugans.

National Minor League

Western Maryland 18, Elks 4: Brittany Sisler had two hits, including an inside-the-park home run, John Huse and Kellan Reever had three hits apiece while Brennen Przywieczerski and Sara Renner each had two hits for Western Maryland. Ben Peterson had two hits for Elks.

Sharpsburg Little League

Chase Construction 8, Company One 2: Ryan Fraley and Tyler Marshall combined to strike out 11 for Chase Construction. Marshall had three hits, while Bradley McNamee, Dwayne Washko and Jacob Pendergrass added two each. Anthony Demartino, Brandon Hoy and Drew O'Neill each had two hits for Company One.

South Mountain Little League

Pete's Barber Shop 5, Post 10 1: Tyler Fath pitched a one-hitter, striking out 14, while Sean Colgan, Nick Knowles and Brandon Stine each had two hits for Pete's.

Valley Little League

St. Lawrence Cement 10, SMRG 2: Steven Hines had two hits, including a homer, and four RBI, while Daniel Rishell and Jason Kendall had two hits for St. Lawrence. Andrew Dinterman and Ronnie Heiston each had two hits for SMRG.

Wash. Co. Cal Ripken League

Lewis Orchards 8, Bair Pools 7: Jake Staebler and Tyler Shank each had two hits for Lewis. Tim Cole had two hits and Kyle Wivell struck out 16 and walked 14 for Bair.

Wash. Co. Girls Softball League

William Gower and Sons 10, Artz Trucking 8: Chelsea Showe had two hits for William Gower. Alexis Fisher, Sarah Duffy and Jennifer Spangler each had two hits for Artz.

Taylor's Sluggers 21, Maryland Troopers 5: Megan Taylor, Tara Babbie and Amanda Ward each had two hits for Taylor's Sluggers.

Taylor's Sluggers 17, Maryland Troopers 6: Devin Griffin and Tara Babbie each had three hits, while Victoria Griffin had two for Taylor's. Marvara McDonald had three hits for Troopers.

Potomac Property Management 20, Reliable Furniture 8: Rachel Amalfatano hit a grand slam and a double, Diane Draper had four hits, Morgan Mullin had three hits, including a grand slam, Holly Pifer had three hits and Kristen Brown had two for Potomac.

M&M/Mars 14, Subway 3: Jordy Lord and Taylor Capshaw had three hits each, while Lauren Abbott and Autumn Breeden each had two for M&M/Mars. Sam Hopkins had two hits for Subway.

Moose 8, Elks 7: Dylan Baker drove in the tying run and scored the winning run for Moose. Jake Turner pitched a three-hitter with nine strikeouts and had two hits, while Tim Leather hit a three-run homer and Josh Ocasio had three hits for Elks.

West End Minor League

Western Enterprise 11, Woodpoint 7: Drew Merrill and Dylan Cunningham each had three hits, while Andrew Peterson and Phillip Butcher each had two for Western Enterprise. Jonathan Martz had two hits for Woodpoint.


Hagerstown Area Church Softball

St. James 20, Grace 7: Mike Hull and Eric Hahn had three hits each and Kyle Flook homered for St. James.

Christ Lutheran 28, Concordia Lutheran 16: Eric Fitzgerald hit three home runs, David Tripp had five hits, including a home run, Jody Koontz had four hits, including a home run, Donnie Tyler had five hits and Jair Barr had four hits for Christ Lutheran. Eric Poole homered for Concordia.
