Local roundup - Chambersburg teams play today

Severe weather postponed the Pennsylvania Class AAA state baseball and softball tournaments until today.

The baseball team plays Williamsport at Blue Mountain High in Schuylkill Haven, Pa., at 1 p.m. The softball team faces Neshaminy at Harrisburg's Brightbill Park at 4 p.m.


Maugansville Junior League

Hagerstown Kitchens 4, Penn Ave. Meats 2: Carl Spessard pitched a three-hitter to lead Hagerstown Kitchens. Karl Schulte, Billy Crews and Randy Smyth had two hits in the win.

Clear Spring Little League

Cubs 30, Blue Jays 17: Justin Hockenberry had three hits, including two home runs, and Cory Shrader, Jeremy Johnson, Craig Kennedy, Preston Dunn, Jeffrey Elliott and Austin Yost had two hits each for the Cubs. Chris Young and Ronnie Maners had three hits each for the Blue Jays.


Washington Co. Cal Ripken League

Lewis Orchards 8 Homestyle Laundry 3: Theo Nehemias had two hits, including a home run, and Chris Pitsnogle had a home run for Lewis.
