Family: Wife, Stephanie; daughter, Julia; twins Jackson and Savannah.

Education: Master's degree.

Mentor: Dr. Emily DeCicco, a university professor, and Dr. Noel Farmer, former superintendent and university professor.

Favorite part of the job: "I truly enjoy working with people to accomplish our goals."

Biggest challenges of your job: "Working with people from different cultures is very rewarding and also quite challenging at times."

Favorite music: "My musical preferences vary with my mood. I enjoy all types of music from classical to bluegrass and many others as well."


Favorite car: "I have always loved Corvettes although I'll probably never own one."

Reading now: "For the most part, I read professional journals such as Educational Leadership, NABE News, Journal of Curriculum and Supervision, Reading Research Quarterly and so on."

Last movie seen: "The Rookie."

Favorite TV show: ESPN "Sports Center."

Hobbies: "Running, snow skiing, writing, golf and spending time with my family."

If you could meet anyone in history, who would it be? "Roberto Clemente and Ernest Hemingway."
