Matthew "Matt" L. Andrews, a 25-year employee and foreman at Beaver Mechanical Contractors Inc., has been certified as a Visual Weld Joint Examiner.

William C. Wantz

Hagerstown planning and zoning attorney William C. Wantz was a speaker and panelist at the American Institute of Architects 2002 National Convention and Expo in Charlotte, N.C.

He addressed legal issues in the urban land use process.

Synergy Healing Arts Center

BLUE RIDGE SUMMIT, Pa. - Ethel Nelson has joined the staff of Synergy Healing Arts Center and Massage School.

Nelson is certified by the Upledger Institute of Craniosacral Therapy to instruct the Introduction to Craniosacral Therapy.

Students completing the first weekend course are Gayle Mosier, Thurmont, Md.; Pattie Boyd, Elizabethtown, Pa.; Theresa Morter, Chambersburg, Pa.; Sandy Severin, Waldorf, Md.; Denise McLean, Waldorf; and Nina Mankin, New York.


First National Bank of Greencastle

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Robert "Red" Pensinger has been named vice chairman of the board of directors for Tower Bancorp Inc. and The First National Bank of Greencastle.

Pensinger, a Greencastle area resident who has been on the board since 1987, will take the place of Harold Gayman, who will be retiring from the board in 2003.

City Hospital

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Shannon Glazier is the recipient of the 2002 Ginny Jones Memorial Nursing Award at City Hospital in Martinsburg.

In January, Glazier completed orientation as a nursing supervisor. She also holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

O'Neill Physical Therapy Services

Lorraine O'Neill, owner of O'Neill Physical Therapy Services in Hagerstown, recently attended the Combined Sections Meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association in Boston.

O'Neill attended numerous classes including Balance and Fall Rehabilitation, Musculo-Skeletal Injuries in the Older Adult and Advanced Physical Therapy Management of Pelvic Pain.

First National Bank of Mercersburg

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Robert J. Fignar has been promoted to senior vice president at the First National Bank of Mercersburg.

Julie A. Statler, finance officer, has been named assistant vice president and cashier.

Patricia M. Walker, mortgage officer, has been promoted to assistant vice president.

Christopher D. Grimm, regional manager, has been elevated to a bank officer status. He was recently promoted to regional manager over the Greencastle and Chambersburg Community Offices.

Good Dog Training School

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Good Dog Training School's trainers Helen Nolan Carlson and April Barr and students Virginia Hengst and Terry Tritle recently attended Volhard's Dog Training and Behavior Camp in Moodus, Conn.

The training camp focused on dog obedience, understanding dog motivation, resolving dog behavior issues and dog health.
