The Kadles


Gene and Jeane Kadle of Halfway celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Thursday, March 7, 2002, with family members and friends.

The Kadles were married March 7, 1952 at Grace Brethren Church in Hagerstown by the Rev. Walter A. Lepp.

Mrs. Kadle is the former Jeane Hockett, daughter of the late Glenn and Elsie (Avery) Hockett. She is a retired registered nurse and is now playing with the New Horizons Band.

Mr. Kadle is the son of the late Luther and Ethel (Golden) Kadle. He retired after 30 years of service with Western Maryland Railway.

The Kadles have four children, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.




The Taylors


Mr. and Mrs. Donald L. Taylor of Hagers-town celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Saturday, June 30, 2001, at a dinner party at Nick's Airport Inn. The event was hosted by their daughter and son-in-law, Amy and John Rostock of Greensburg, Pa. The Taylors' other four children and their families attended the celebration along with friends. Their children are Bryan and Donna Taylor of Carriere, Miss.; Randy Taylor and Mark and Kim Taylor, all of Hagerstown; and Erin and Josh Gibson of Sacramento, Calif. They have seven grandchildren.

The Taylors were married June 30, 1961.

Mrs. Taylor is the former Mary Lee Cox, daughter of Gladys N. Myers of Frostburg, Md., and the late Roy C. Cox Jr. She also is the granddaughter of the late Myrtle I. Cox, who raised her. She is a 1961 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. She is a homemaker.

Mr. Taylor is the son of the late Sherman L. and Lillie Taylor. He is a 1958 graduate of Clear Spring High School. He is employed by J and D Kitchens and was formerly employed by Pangborn Corp. for 37 years.
