David L. Tanger

ST. THOMAS, Pa. - David L. Tanger, 33, of 10406 Lincoln Way West, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.

Born June 25, 1968, in Carlisle, Pa., he was the son of Margaret Davidson Shank of Chambersburg and Carl L. Tanger of Gardners, Pa.

He was a 1986 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School, and attended Hagerstown Business College.

He was a driver for Aerial Service and Parts Inc. in Shippensburg, Pa., for four years.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Chambersburg, where he was a member of the youth group.

He was a member of Cold Springs Hunting Club of Mount Holly, Pa.

He is survived by his father, William L. Shank of Chambersburg; his fiance, Rene L. Hare of St. Thomas; one daughter, Hailey J. Tanger of St. Thomas; one brother, Kevin C. Tanger of Huntingdon, Pa.; one sister, Mary Beth Shank of Chambersburg; his stepgrandmother, Mary Jane Shank of Jamestown, N.Y.; and one niece.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, Chambersburg. The Revs. Donald C. Nolder, Dianne B. Salter and Charles L. Kind will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.

Mary Redel

BEL AIR, Md. - Mary "Louise" Redel, 87, of Bel Air, died Thursday, May 30, 2002, at Mariner Health of Bel Air.

Born Sept. 19, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Nellie McGuire.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Redel Sr.

She is survived by four children, Joan Cala, Katherine L. Skane, Linda A. Uzmed and John E. Redel Jr.; two sisters, Helen Smith and Betty; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Ursula's Church. Burial will be in Parkwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Evans Funeral Chapel of Memories, Parkville, Md. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 1450 Abingdon Road, Abingdon, MD 21009.




Jane K. Kriner

Jane Katherine Kriner, 89, of 124 Stanford Road, Hagerstown, died Thursday, May 30, 2002, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Aug. 8, 1912, in Hagers-town, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Frieze and Blanche Garver Kriner.

She retired from the Washington County Department of Social Services after 42 years.

She was a member of Christ Reformed Church.

She is survived by cousins; and her caregiver, Karyn Ruckman, with whom she lived.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Kriner.

Private services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.

There will be no viewing.

Memorial donations may be made to Christ Reformed Church, 216 N. Cleveland Ave., Hagers-town, MD 21740.

Anna M. Stoner

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. -Anna Mae Stoner, 84, of New Cumberland, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester C. Stoner Sr.

She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, New Cumberland.

She is survived by one son, Lester C. Stoner Jr. of Big Pool; two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.

Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations may be made to Faith United Church of Christ, 1120 Drexel Hill Blvd., New Cumberland, PA 17070.

Daniel P. Ohler Jr.

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -Daniel Perry Ohler Jr., 32, of 12490 Quivira Road, and formerly of Cumberland, Md., and Hagers-town, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at St. Luke's of Kansas City Hospital.

Born Jan. 20, 1970, in Cumberland, he was the son of Sharon J. Domer Ohler and the late Daniel Perry Ohler Sr.

He worked as a business analyst for Citicorp and Ajilon Technologies.

He attended Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Overland Park; Calvary Assembly of God Church in Waynesboro, Pa.; and Central Assembly of God Church in Cumberland.

He was a member of Theta Xi fraternity at Shepherd College, Shepherdstown, W.Va.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, Zachary B. Ohler of Hagerstown.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Central Assembly of God Church, Cumberland. The Rev. Douglas Seaman will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, Cumberland.




Dorothy R. Lane

GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Dorothy R. Lane, 88, of Gettysburg, died Thursday, May 30, 2002, at Shepherd's Choice Nursing Home, Gettysburg.

Born March 28, 1914, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Raleigh E. Eversole Sr. and Oda Lee Palmer Eversole.
