Young people may join junior volunteers

May 28, 2002

RANSON, W.Va. - Jefferson Memorial Hospital will host its second Junior Volunteer Orientation Saturday, June 1, at 9 a.m. in the first floor conference room.

The Junior Volunteer Program is comprised of young people between the ages of 14 and 17, who contribute their time and energy to the hospital, its patients and staff.

The Junior Volunteer Program not only assists hospital staff by extending services to patients but it also provides an opportunity for work experience in the hospital setting. The junior volunteers must go through orientation and are required to have a TB test before they can begin.

Junior volunteers are also required to purchase a collared, hospital pull-over shirt for $10.25 and wear white pants or knee length skirts.
