LAKEWOOD, N.J. - The Hagerstown Suns jumped to a two-run lead after their first at-bat, and used another solid pitching effort for a 4-2 victory over the Lakewood BlueClaws Friday night in the South Atlantic League.

Tyler Von Schell hit an RBI double and Julian Benavidez singled him in for a 2-0 edge after the top of the first for Hagerstown (23-26).

After Lakewood got a run back in the first, Hagerstown pushed the lead to 3-1 in the fourth. An infield single by Benavidez, a walk to Rob Meyer and a single by Mark Walker loaded the bases, and Benavidez scored on a grounder by Leonel Cabrera.

Keith Anderson capped the Suns' scoring in the sixth with a solo home run, his first of the season.

Anthony Pannone upped his record to 4-2 by scattering four hits, two walks and a hit batter over six innings. Ryan Meaux cleaned up for his seventh save of the season.
