The society is recruiting volunteers to help in the fight against blood-related cancers by raising funds as they train to run, walk, cycle or skate in honor of local patients. MS 150 Bike Tour

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Saturday, June 1, and Sunday, June 2, the tour is for all levels of riders, who will collect pledges for completing their chosen courses. Bikers will depart Saturday from Washington College, in Kent County, with four route options, all leading back on Saturday, to Washington College where massage therapists will soothe aching muscles and participants will be treated to dinner and an awards ceremony. Sunday will include three routes and a picnic lunch at the finish line at Washington College. Proceeds benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's MS research. Operation: God Bless America XII

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Motorcyclists ride for veterans. Sunday, June 2, registration 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Travel Center, Interstate 81 and U.S. 16. There is a $10 donation per person. Depart at noon. Destination is Martinsburg Veterans Affairs Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va. Arrival time is approximately 1 p.m. Ceremony and presentation of money is at 2:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit the VA Center's patient recreation fund. The event will be held rain or shine.
