WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Wednesday, May 22, 7 p.m., Rainbow Gymnastics, 71 W. Main St. This will be an informational meeting to answer questions and give participants an idea what competitive cheerleading and dance is all about. Plant sale

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Friday, May 24, 5:30 p.m., Penn State Cooperative Extension of Franklin County office, 191 Franklin Farm Lane. Plants provided by master gardeners. Every plant at the sale will be accompanied by educational information as to its requirements and the mature size of the plant. Master gardeners will also be on hand to answer questions about the plants being sold, and to offer suggestions and advice about their care. Basset Rescue of Old Dominion Patriotic Ramble

WILLIAMSPORT - Sponsored by BROOD, an organization that does basset hound rescue in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and parts of Pennsylvania, Delaware and West Virginia. The fundraiser is a 3-mile shaded stroll through the Cushwa Basin along the C & O Canal, followed by a picnic, auction, costume contest, basset baseball game, hot dog-eating contest, dog massage and more.
