A Clear Spring man was killed Saturday night after his Jeep Wrangler went down an embankment and overturned two times on U.S. 40 at Garrow Drive, said Maryland State Police.

Dean Thomas Fogle, 36, of 13226 Blairs Valley Road, was ejected from his 1989 Jeep after it crossed the center line of the road, hit a curb then a guardrail before going down the embankment.

The Jeep came to rest on the driver's side.

The accident happened at about 10:20 p.m.

Trooper 1st Class R.O. Fraley said Fogle wasn't wearing his seat belt.

Employed with his younger brother, Alan, in the construction industry, Dean Fogle will be greatly missed by his family and friends, his brother said Sunday.

"He always tried to be there for anybody who needed him," said Alan Fogle about his brother.

Alan Fogle said he and his parents and other family members were still trying to come to terms with the tragedy.
