Two charged after undercover drug sting

Two Hagerstown men arrested by city police Thursday during an undercover drug sting were being held at the Washington County Detention Center Friday night.

Andre Maurice Miller, 39, of 50 Summit Ave., No. 408, was arrested in the first block of Murph Avenue.

Bicentennial Webb, 26, of 31 E. Washington St., Apt. 11, was arrested behind his home.

The two men are accused of selling crack cocaine to a confidential informant on behalf of the Hagerstown Police Department's Street Crimes Unit, police said.

Miller is being held on a $50,000 bond. Webb has a $35,000 bond.

Man stabbed outside Frederick nightclub

FREDERICK, Md. - A Germantown, Md., man was in critical condition Friday evening after being stabbed outside a nightclub.

Frederick Police said Tony Rendell Beckwith, 30, was stabbed at least three times in the abdomen at about 2:15 a.m. Friday in the parking lot of Xhale.


Beckwith was in the intensive care unit at Washington County Hospital Friday evening.

Two men rob Frederick Citgo gas station

FREDERICK, Md. - Two men robbed the Citgo gas station at 9824 Liberty Road Thursday night, Maryland State Police in Frederick said.

A male clerk working by himself was counting cigarette inventory when a man entered the booth and grabbed him from behind, police said. A second man also entered the booth, punched the clerk in the nose and said he had a gun.

Police said the men forced the clerk to the floor, stole an unknown amount of cash from the register and ran into a field behind the gas station.

A police K-9 was called in to help search for the robbers.

The clerk said the men wore cotton work gloves, but he could not describe them, police said.
