Democrat Craig Shibley and Republican Craig Blair won their respective party primaries for the 52nd Delegate District seat in Tuesday's primary, according to complete, but unofficial returns with all 58 Berkeley County voting precincts reporting.

In the Democratic primary, Shibley beat Claiborne Lashley 334-264.

In the GOP race, Blair defeated Jerry Mays 602-339.

Shibley and Blair will face off in the Nov. 5 general election.

Democrat Mike Law's name appeared on the ballot as a candidate for the 52nd District, but he should have filed to run for the 51st Delegate District seat. He still ended the day in the 52nd District with 236 votes.

The mistake was pointed out after the printing of the ballots.

The 52nd District covers a large portion of Berkeley County and three precincts in Morgan County.

Shibley, 34, of 115 Michelle Drive, Hedgesville, has his own business, Tega Media, which he has run for three years. Before that, he worked in professional broadcasting for 10 years.

Blair, 42, of 167 Wasser Drive, Martinsburg, is the owner of Sunset Water Inc. and Professionals' Choice and marketing director for Artesian Software.
