SMITHSBURG - Brian Baugher struck out 11, including six looking, and held Smithsburg to five hits, two runs and three walks in an MVAL win as Brunswick won its third straight.

Baugher allowed Gerry Spessard's two-run homer in the sixth after Brunswick (8-11, 7-10) took an 8-0 lead. Danny Baugher hit a three-run homer in the first inning, Tommy Blumenenauer had two hits, including a solo homer in the fifth, and Jesse Ault had a two-run double for Brunswick.

Jeff Mills had two hits for Smithsburg (10-6, 10-6).
