Stabbing victim released

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A Martinsburg man stabbed in the chest late Monday has been released from the hospital, according to a Winchester (Va.) Medical Center spokesperson.

Kevin Rainey, 39, of 133 Tremble Ave. in Martinsburg, was taken to City Hospital after he was found in the yard of a house at 700 N. High St., Martinsburg.

City Hospital officials said he was transferred to the Winchester hospital. He was released from the hospital Tuesday.

The investigation is ongoing, said Detective Cpl. Kevin Miller of the Martinsburg Police Department.
