TANEYTOWN, Md. - Brandon Fisher allowed one hit in 4 1/3 innings of relief, and Gerry Spessard's bases-loaded double with two outs in fifth gave Smithsburg a come-from-behind 9-6 win over Francis Scott Key in the Monocacy Valley Athletic League on Wednesday.

Drew Crawford also went 3-for-3 with an RBI for Smithsburg (9-5, 9-5).

WINCHESTER, Va. - Sam Walls finished with three hits and six RBI, including a three-run home in the first inning, as the Cougars opened big for a road win in Virginia.


Denny Hartlove had two hits and scored four times and Donell Lee had two hits and two RBI for Jefferson.

n In a late Tuesday night game, the Cougars got three four-run innings to get an Apple Valley League win. Brad Williams hit a three-run homer in the fourth and finished with four RBI for Jefferson (24-6, 6-2). Brian McLaughlin and Brian Peterson had two hits, and Peterson added two RBI.
