BOONSBORO - Sponsored by Boonsboro High School Class of 1970 Reunion Committee. Tickets are now being sold for a "Once in a Lifetime" vacation package, valued at $4,000. The winner picks the vacation or may choose a cash option of $3,000. Cost is $10 per ticket. Winning number is based on the Maryland 3 digit evening lottery number, Drawing date is Saturday, Sept. 14. A portion of the proceeds benefits the BHS Class of '70 Scholarship Fund. Eleventh annual fabric fair


CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Sponsored by Chambersburg Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary, Thursday to Saturday, May 2, 3 and 4, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, the former drug store location at Southgate Shopping Center. All types of sewing and craft projects, fabric, ribbon, patterns, knitting supplies, buttons, how-to books and more will be sold. Proceeds benefit needs of the local Salvation Army Corps. Rummage sale

Meyers Memorial Golf Tournament

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Sponsored by James Buchanan Athletic Boosters Association, Saturday, May 4, shotgun start at 8 a.m., Majestic Ridge Golf Club. The format of the tournament will be the "four player scramble" with teams placed in flights based on their 19-hole score. Hole-in-one superprizes will be awarded and a 2002 Buick Century will be featured at a specific hole. Entry fee is $60 and includes continental breakfast at 7:30 a.m., buffet meal following play and soft drinks during play. Proceeds benefit the Athletic Facilities Improvement Fund. CHASA walk


Saturday, May 4, 10:30 a.m., City Park, Hagerstown. There will be simultaneous walks on this day across the country to raise funds and awareness for the Children's Hemiplegia and Stroke Foundation, an organization offering support and services to families with children who are coping with the effects of childhood stroke and hemiplegia. Walkers will meet in the parking lot off Park Drive in City Park. Line up sponsors to donate lump sums rather than per mile amounts. Any donations are welcome. Bring a picnic lunch and join the walk.
