SALISBURY, Md. - Robbie Meyer went 3-for-4 and drove in four runs as the Hagerstown Suns ended a four-game losing skid by beating the Delmarva Shorebirds 7-3 Wednesday afternoon.
Meyer got the Suns (7-7) on the board in the top of the third inning, driving in two on a two-out bases-loaded double to give Hagerstown took a 2-0 lead.
Leading 2-1 in the top of the sixth, Hagerstown's Derin McMains drew a one-out walk and Meyer moved him to third with a single. Both runners scored on Julian Benavidez's double.
Meyer gave the Suns a 6-2 lead in the eighth. McMains reached on an error and scored on Meyer's second home run of the season.
